LAUSD's March 5 deadline comes before private school decisions: what to do

• LAUSD needs your answer on a Choices offer by March 5, 2027, and no answer counts as a decline.
• Most LA private schools we track send kindergarten decisions on March 12, a week later.
• If you get an LAUSD offer you'd take over your neighborhood school, accept it by March 5.

Selected families must accept or decline a Choices offer by March 5, 2027. No response counts as a decline, and declines are final. (2027–2028 Choices brochure, p. 5)

What happens on March 12?

How one acceptance affects other Choices programs
